Recipe For Hate

This is the record that took Bad Religion from being a premiere punk band to becoming something far bigger. Featuring iconic cover art by Fred Hidalgo, "Recipe For Hate" retains the band's hallmark energy and rebellion exemplified by the classic "American Jesus," but the sonic palette has been slightly expanded. With "Struck A Nerve" the album featured the band's first song to be played on radio since their debut seven inch. Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blond contribute guest vocals. This is also the first Bad Religion album written on piano. After the record's release on Epitaph, it was picked up by Atlantic Records.
