Greg Graffin performs with Die Toten Hosen

Last weekend the Bad Religion fans at the German music festivals Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring got a nice treat. Not only could they see Brooks Wackerman performing with Tenacious D, Greg Graffin unexpectedly appeared on stage during Die Toten Hosen show!

Apparently Greg had been invited to come to Germany to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Die Toten Hosen. The bands have been longtime friends, which resulted in a collaboration in 1998 when Bad Religion recorded "Raise Your Voice" with Campino (vocalist of Die Toten Hosen).

Since Bad Religion has a large fanbase in Germany, it was quite obvious that Die Toten Hosen decided to play two Bad Religion songs: "Raise Your Voice" and "Punk Rock Song". During the show images of Greg and the crossbuster were more than once portrayed on the video screen on stage.

After the Bad Religion songs the audience got to hear a nice cover version of the Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop". Even though Greg's performance had ended after "Blitzkrieg Bop", Campino called Greg back on stage to do some backing vocals for the song "Freunde" ("Friends").

Extra tidbit: Did you know that the video clip for "Raise Your Voice" was shot at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, where Robert F. Kennedy was killed in 1968?
